Our scope
We cover English-language consumer transfers from the UK, US, Canada and Germany to Nigeria. The standard price comparison uses NGN bank payouts. Business payments, Ghana and Kenya destinations, live feeds and numerical ratings are outside this release.
Research, inclusion and recommendations
A provider profile records desk research; it does not mean we made a transfer or endorse the service. We check the legal operator against the applicable regulator, confirm the sending route and trace the published Nigerian payout arrangements. Company incorporation or an anti-money-laundering registration alone does not establish deposit protection or every permission a business needs.
Before a route enters comparison results, it needs a current regulatory source, route source, legal entity and payout evidence. Unknown or contradictory information is labelled and held out. Customer reviews can suggest questions to investigate, but do not prove safety or speed. We distinguish providers’ advertised timing from independently observed performance.
How a price snapshot works
We compare total sender budgets of 100, 500 and 1,000 in GBP, USD, CAD or EUR, as appropriate. For each budget, we use the same sending country, funding method, NGN bank payout and customer eligibility. All quotes in a snapshot must be collected within 30 minutes. We record the sender principal, fees, known additional charges, exchange rate, net recipient amount, timestamp, source and reviewer.
A snapshot needs at least three verified providers and quotes for every currently eligible bank-payout provider in our research cohort. If a quote is missing, conditions differ, or arithmetic does not reconcile, we do not publish a price order. The research cohort is not the whole market.
New-customer offers appear separately, with eligibility, restrictions and an expiry date. We do not substitute a welcome price for a repeat-customer price. Unknown charges never become zero. Where deductions cannot be established, the quote is unsuitable for ranking.
How results are ordered
Factual provider listings are alphabetical. Only complete comparable snapshots are ordered by the net NGN received, with the heading “Most NGN received in our [date] comparison.” Ties use provider name order. The result applies to those conditions and that date; it does not establish a universally cheapest service.
“Best for” labels need an explicit, sourced reason. A price-based label must be tied to a valid snapshot. We currently make no price or speed awards. Affiliate commission and sponsorship never change inclusion, organic order or recommendations.
Freshness and corrections
Price rankings retire after 30 days. Expired offers disappear from comparison results. Route checks are due monthly and full profiles quarterly; overdue evidence removes the affected route from verified results. Confirmed material concerns pause recommendations and commercial links. Each week we aim to refresh one country, rotating UK, US, Canada and Germany. Corrections take priority over a new article.
Historical quotes are not live prices. Always check the provider’s final quote and terms before committing. Use Report incorrect information to flag a problem; please do not send us bank details or identity documents.
Funding and transparency
We may receive commission from explicitly labelled affiliate links. Non-partners receive the same editorial consideration. Paid placements use “Advertisement — paid placement” and sit outside comparison tables, below the primary results. We do not sell ratings, verified badges or favourable reviews. Read our advertiser disclosure.
Our pricing approach is informed by the FCA’s international-payment transparency guidance, including its emphasis on the exchange-rate cost and the final amount received. Advertising identification follows the principles in ASA affiliate-marketing guidance. These references do not imply either organisation approves KudiCompass or our providers.
